Foreign accounts, in your YNAB budget.

A YNAB budget only holds one currency. If one of your accounts is in another, this converts each transaction at the rate from the day it happened and records that in the memo, so nothing gets converted twice.

Official YNAB API. Nothing is written without a preview. Fiat only, no crypto.

  1. Enter transactions as they are

    Type or import them in their original currency.

  2. Say what each account holds

    Pick its currency and a start date. Nothing older is touched.

  3. Preview, then convert

    See the amounts and the rate before anything is written. Approve it, or let it run daily.

  4. Check the memo

    It keeps the original amount, the rate, and the date that rate was published.

What it won't do

  • Touch reconciled transactions or either leg of a transfer.
  • Convert the same transaction twice. Every conversion is recorded.
